Quaboag chamber to hold meeting on Palmer casino (Worcester Telegram & Gazette) Casino Gaming
With a decision expected by Gov. Deval L. Patrick next week on whether casino gambling in Massachusetts should proceed, the Quaboag Valley Chamber of Commerce is putting together an informational meeting Sept. 13 for town officials in the chamber’s 15-community region to discuss a developer’s plan for a casino in Palmer.

Two Atlantic City casinos, blaming increased competition and (Casino Gaming), and a partial smoking ban for sinking profits, are offering buyouts to managers to avoid layoffs, according to a published report Thursday.
